It was Dads job to distract the bulls after the cowboy has been bucked off. This is so the bulls dont turn on the cowboys and charge them. There are also "clowns" that distract the bulls too. But a man on a horse is a little faster then a man on his feet. Also the bulls are incoraged to charge at the men on their horses ( like my Dad) so they will follow back into the yards. ...

Brucey ( Dads horse) is so used to working on the farm with Dad, being tought when the cattle go for you, you stand your ground and charge back. But at the Rodeo Dad was asked not to let Brucey do that, because the bigger bulls ( this is not one of the bigger bulls) will charge big time and not stop. Took a bit for Brusey to get the idea to run away and not charge back lol
