The roads are always really busy this time of the year, be save on the roads. And dont drive and text

Yesterday was the Opotiki Rodeo, it turned out to be a really good day. The weather thankfully was overcast, so shady but no rain. We were meant to have rain. So like I said, thankfully we didnt. During the lunch stop, we had a "pull the ribbon off the bulls tail" It was really entertaining hehe. The cowboy team won that, the bull didnt even get time to get out of the pen and the cowboys had the ribbon off lol..
The local bull riding was lots of fun too. Johno says next year he will enter in that lol.. Hes been on lots of bucking horses before, so he should do pretty well at bull riding.
On the note of Johno.
He called his Mum the other day at the hospital to see how she was, and see what was going on, she wrote him a letter explaining everything, told him she will be getting out on December 24th, and although problems with her heart, she is ok. As mail has been closed in the prison for the past week or so, he hasnt been able to get his mail. It re-opened again today though, so hopefully he got a letter from her today explaining everything.
I still think its really stink that noone went up the min she went up to hospital, and that noone contacted him letting him know. I dont care how bad or good the news is. If his mother goes to hospital, he should be told. Maybe thats just me though ~shrugs~ I dunno.

Ive had the past few days off work because of the Rodeo. I start back tomorrow though. Got some hella long shifts ahead of me. Which is why I thought Id write a journal now, as I know I wont have time to write one before the new year. I hope you all have a great New years.
